Changes

Wow, what an interesting past few moths this has been. Lots of changes going on. The hosptial is revamping, and that only means cutbacks on nursing. It always starts in the nursing department...there is a freeze going on right now, if you can even comprehend that one...no new hires, and the nurses that are leaving will not be replenished. Has anyone out there heard of a nursing shortage?? Well I suppose in this neck of the woods they just prefer to keep the beds full and the nurses short staffed. Big bucks rolling in I guess. It pretty much sucks...just me and Red were on the floor yesterday and they would not call anyone in....it just pissed off the docs royally since they are used to us being at thier beck and call. The hospital is losing Doctors, they are finding new jobs in better hospitals, losing management in all the major departments. Last week five Managers quit!!!

I just hope that all will calm down soon. Personally I think all this change is going to just make patient care worse....but that is not the bottom line in big buisiness!!
